Kali helping raise funds to help German Shepherds who are not so lucky as she is.
A man's best friend really is his dog. Your dog will never lie to you, cheat on you and will always be happy to see you no matter what.
If you need help rehoming your dog please can you fill out a rehoming form. We ask that everyone asking for help in rehoming their dog, makes a donation to the charity in order that we can continue with our good work. Everyone associated with the rescue is a volunteer but we have to raise money in order to pay our vet and kennel bills. Please don't use us as a dumping ground or threaten to put your dog to sleep. It would cost up to £100 to take your dog to the vets to be PTS!
Once we have received your completed form, a volunteer will call to arrange for someone to come out and assess your dog. We prefer that a volunteer assesses your dog in it's own environment so that we can see how he/she behaves. Please be truthful about any behavioural issues or ongoing health problems. It makes no difference to us other than to be forewarned is to be forearmed. The more we know, the easier it will be for us to find the right home for your dog.
Once your dog has been assessed, we will circulate the details amongst our rehoming co-ordinators and publish a picture and description on our websites.
Once we have found a suitable home, a volunteer will call and collect your dog at which point, ownership is transferred to GSDR. Please note that we only rehome to homes that have undergone a strict homecheck by one of our volunteers. After adoption, we do follow up our dogs to make sure that all is well. We can usually provide updates and pictures if you wish to be kept informed.
If your dog has to be rehomed as a matter of urgency, please be aware that we do not have our own kennels so we will probably have to board your dog in commercial kennels at siginficant cost to the rescue. Please help us by making a donation towards the kenneling costs.
